The widespread hiring freezes in 2009 was an intense coming-of-age experience for many twenty-year olds. I conducted hours of interviews with people in their twenties about their concerns and hopes for the present and the future. The final video is a unique and sometimes contradictory look at young adults as they leave childhood in the midst of America’s largest recession since the Great Depression.
Interviews were recorded in Bloomington, Indiana and edited at a residency at the Experimental Television Center in Owego, New York.
