Once, Again Memories are elastic, and we often change them to better fit an idea. Whether this new consideration of the memory is to provide comfort, forgot uneasiness or grief, or a product of obsession over something lost, it remains that a reinterpreted memory is often more truthful than the reality of the original physical happening. This ongoing series uses objects associated with memory preservation - photographs, videos, transparent digital editing - to highlight the confusing, emotional, and very human desire to change events of the past to better fit the needs of the present. |
